Detours & Notices

  • Temporary 9th Street Closure

    On April 18th, 9th Street parking will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to accommodate a crane that will be used to install a new generator for the 8th Street Apartments. The street will be closed to traffic beginning at 9 a.m.

  • April Construction Creates Congestion and Closed Sidewalks in the Northern Sector of Campus

    Spring has sprung bringing multiple new construction projects with it. Due to extensive construction on the northern portion of campus, including the Campus Safety Building, the Kendeda __ Building for Sustainable ___, and the Dalney Building, impacts to pedestrian and vehicular traffic will occur throughout the month of April. Users of Ferst Drive between Hemphill Ave. NW and Atlantic St. should proceed with caution. Through traffic will be maintained at all times.

  • Dalney Building Parking

    This project entails the permanent removal of the W26 parking lot to be replaced with a new 800 parking space parking garage.

  • Boggs Waterproofing

    Water intrusion issues to be mitigated at the Boggs building. 

  • Boggs First Floor Renovation

    Boggs' first floor to be renovated to feature updated offices and labs.

  • 2 Major Construction Projects Get Started This Semester

    This month, work will begin on the Campus Safety Building, the new home for the Georgia Tech Police Department that will take shape at the corner of Hemphill Avenue and 10th Street.

  • New Sculptures for the Engineered Biosystems Buildings

    Two new  "Macrophage" sculptures on the EBB lawn along the walking path.

  • Holland Plant Drive Detour

    There will be a temporary closure of Holland Plant Drive, Daniel Lab and Lyman Hall Parking lot to facilitate the removal and installation of a new transformer on top of the Holland Plant.

  • Campus Safety Facility Construction

    Construction of a new GT Police Headquarters has begun. The project will add both a strong GTPD presence to the area as well as define the north west edge of campus.
